What is a High Water Mark (HWM)?

A high-water mark is the highest peak in balance that an account has reached.

Profit-sharing fees can only be charged when the balance in your account is higher than the high-water mark.  The difference between the higher balance and the high-water mark will be used to calculate the profit sharing fee after taking into account any net deposits/withdrawals.
